RIVESVILLE — One person has been killed in a single-vehicle accident in Rivesville.A blue Chevy pickup truck struck a stack of wooden railroad ties Friday near Satterfield Street and the old Rivesville Power Plant. According to the Marion County 911 log, the state medical examiner has been called to the scene.Some individuals at the scene were visibly shaken. Rivesville assistant police chief Les Clifton confirmed that one person had been killed. He said the department is investigating whether the person had a medical condition that caused the accident or if some type of vehicle malfunction had occurred to cause the accident. The Rivesville Police Department is investigating the accident with assistance from the West Virginia State Police.The Marion County Rescue Squad and Rivesville Volunteer Fire Department were on scene.
