and i caved in

i definetly chose to wait until release day now but i have been reading reviews. seems that people either love it or hate it. alot of mixed reviews, but the good ones are giving it alot of praise. it only makes me anticipate it more

two songs and no  solos. sweet riffage though.

i like they are keeping to shorter tracks like slaughter of the soul, but at least there were mini solos in there.


 

got mine from the mail after work. just gave it one full listen and i think its fucking awesome. contender for album of the year for me. people who were a fan of at the gates just because of slaughter of the soul will be dissapointed, although a few songs here would fit right in with those songs, but its got more of a mid paced melancholic vibe like the album and ep before slaughter, the melodies really stand out and stick to you while the drums set a good pace. linderg sounds as brutal as ever

i can see the haunted comparisons at parts, but thats to be expected. when the haunted first started out  i thought some parts sounded like at the gates, so that really cant be avoided, its gonna be there no matter what. i do think this cd kicks the shit out of exit wounds
