    I had no idea the dude Rivesville was named after was such a prolific person. Dude was a serious player in Virginia politics. I havent found any information as to why this town was named after hin since he has no connection to the area.

    Always cool to see some history. My mom showed me some story on facebook about in the early rivesville days cops didnt have jurisdiction in greentown and people used to run away from the cops to greentown and taunt them and they couldnt do anything about it
